" ...Angelica’s virtuosic conjuring of her mother’s spirit is something to behold.” — Charles McNulty, Los Angeles Times

"... an incredibly moving night, one I’ll never forget... if there is a spirit world, and if Geraldine is in it, this very spot would be the door to it." — Trav S.D.

ANGELICA PAGE is an American actress and writer who has appeared frequently onstage on- and off-Broadway, earning an Outer Critic’s Circle nomination for best Solo Performance, the Helen Hayes Award for Best Actress, and the New York People’s Choice Award for Best Supporting Actress. She has appeared in numerous films and television programs and self-penned the critically acclaimed one-woman show Turning Page, which her new memoir BOUNTIFUL: Growing up with Geraldine Page is based on.

TURNING PAGE is a sophisticated, funny and deeply compelling play about legendary actress Geraldine Page — a magical opportunity to personally encounter one of the most influential, celebrated and private American artists of the 20th century.Written by the subject’s only daughter, award winning actor/writer Angelica Page and directed by Tony® Award nominated Wilson Milam, Turning Page tells master craftswoman Geraldine Page’s remarkable journey — one of an iconoclast and trail blazer whose sparkling career earned her a record-breaking eight Academy® Award-nominations and whose untimely death in 1987 deprived us of one of entertainment’s most dazzling figures until now.

BOUNTIFUL: Growing up with Geraldine Page is the highly anticipated biographical memoir written by the only daughter of the late actress. Based on her critically acclaimed self-penned solo play Turning Page, it includes an introduction by Los Angeles Times chief theater critic Charles McNulty. This is the first ever book written about the legendary Oscar winner Geraldine Page, and gives the reader a detailed, intimate one-of-a-kind examination of her luminous body of work as well as her challenging private life with Angelica’s infamous father, actor Rip Torn; her relationships with legends such as Actor’s Studio founder Lee Strasberg, First Lady Jackie Kennedy, singer Janis Joplin, poet Maya Angelou, playwright Tennessee Williams, and her star-crossed love affair with James Dean.

Angelica (who knows where the bodies are buried) skillfully weaves in stories of her own coming of age: on the road with her mother as a child; the shift into a rebellious teen; learning to swim in Grace Slick’s guitar shaped pool; hanging out with Twiggy in London; navigating a chaotic home life that drove her from their Chelsea brownstone into the 1980’s punk rock scene of CBGB’s, the Mudd Club, and Max’s Kansas City.

This book is as much a theatrical history lesson as a first-person survival guide to life in the fast lane. This read is not only for those of us old enough to know who Geraldine Page is, but also an essential toolkit to help illuminate a path for every person on a journey toward their own artistic magistry.

"Love it! "Wow!" — Sandra Bernhard

I was wonderfully haunted by this book. Honest intimate and mesmerizing." — Will Patton

“Be warned, this book is dangerous; it can make you regret never having lived through the thrilling, dangerous times Geraldine Page lived in and partly created... she is an important reminder of the potential of the individual, in art and in life.”— F. Murray Abraham

BOUNTIFUL: Growing up with Geraldine Page is published by Three Rooms Press. Hardcover is $35.00 (including tax) and will be available to buy at the book signing. To pre-order your copy, please visit www.tornpagestudios.org/shop.
