RSVP HERE. In 1988, at the age of 78, Lady Diana Mosley, one of England’s famed Mitford sisters and wife of Sir Oswald Mosley (founder of The British Union of Fascists), appeared on the BBC program, Desert Island Discs, in which notable personages would sit down with an interviewer and choose the 10 songs they’d listen to if stranded on a desert island.
In the interview, Lady Mosley discussed her life growing up with her celebrated (and notorious) family, her unremitting and unapologetic fondness for Adolf Hitler, her skepticism of the Holocaust, her distaste for immigrants, her love of laughter, and, of course, the music she’s listened to all her life.
Very similar to a current YouTube podcast. Historical revisionism with certainty and civility. The dizzying adulteration of facts.
